Gabriel Chemie Expands Hungarian Production Facility

Gabriel Chemie, a prominent producer in the masterbatch industry, has embarked on a significant expansion of its Hungarian production facility in Nyíregyháza. This project, which commenced on December 19, 2023, represents a EUR 6 million investment aimed at doubling the plant's capacity.

The expansion will add 2,200 square meters of floor space and include the construction of a new two-storey office building. This development will allow for the installation of additional extruders, potentially increasing the workforce substantially, contingent on economic conditions in 2024.

Gabriel Chemie has been active in Hungary since 1995, and the Nyíregyháza facility, established in 2003, has been pivotal in meeting both local and global demand for masterbatch products. Notably, the production will continue uninterrupted during the construction phase, ensuring that customer needs are consistently met.

Andreas Berger, Chief Financial Operating Officer of Gabriel Chemie, emphasized the strategic importance of this investment. In the current economic climate, this expansion underscores our commitment to growth and operational excellence. It provides the foundation for future advancements within the Gabriel-Chemie Group, he stated.

The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2024, positioning Gabriel Chemie to strengthen its market presence and continue its trajectory of innovation and excellence in the masterbatch industry.
